Dealership Assistant

The Urban Garage has an immediate opening for a Dealership Assistant/ Lot Person. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and license abstract indicating responsible vehicle operation. The position requires the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles proficiently and safely.

Responsibilities include: maintaining the vehicle showroom and vehicle inventory in good retail condition, including washing and vacuuming vehicles, assisting in the reconditioning of our cars for sale. Other responsibilities include: maintaining inventory files, photographing our cars and updating our website content, along with researching vehicle histories and service records. Occasional vehicle transport is also an earned responsibility.

The ideal applicant is responsible, organized, self-starting, takes pride in their work and is passionate about automobiles. Good organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently are favourable qualities in your application. This is a full time position, five days per week between 9am - 6pm, Monday through Saturday, but strong applicants may be considered for part time positions if not available full time.

The Urban Garage, Vancouver’s premiere luxury and performance pre-owned car dealership is seeking excellent automobile salespeople to join its growing team of professionals in its West Vancouver location. If you possess the following qualities, we would like to speak with you:

1. Friendly and approachable. Well presented.
2. Good knowledge of German performance cars, and some general knowledge of the operating systems of automobiles.
3. Comfortable and proficient working on computers in a Windows based environment ( Internet Explorer, Word, Excel and Maximizer).
4. Ambitious, self motivated and organized.
5. Capable of crafting and executing an organized sales plan.
6. Works well in small team atmosphere and is willing to lend a hand.
7. Professional, respectful, courteous, and discrete.
8. Quick thinking and possessing common sense.
9. Comfortable negotiating. Knows how to get a deal done.
10. Some experience selling and brokering automobiles is an asset.
